Joseph Adelard Cormier

Joseph Adelard Cormier ST-ANSELME, NB - Joseph Adelard Cormier of St-Anselme passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Monday, February 28, 2005 at the age of 86 after a lengthy illness. Born in Amherst, NS, he was the son of the late Albert Cormier and Bibienne LeBlanc. He worked as a guard at the Dorchester Penitentiary (Correctional Services) until his retirement. He was a member of the St-Anselme Roman Catholic Church parish, Moncton Legion Branch # 6, Knights of Columbus 4th Degree of Memramcook. He served in World War II (14th Field Ambulance). He will be sadly missed by seven daughters, Felice Cormier, Yvonne (Jean-Guy) Cormier and Laura (Marc) Gaudet all of Memramcook, Dodie Cormier of Moncton, Denise (Brian) Mahoney of Bremerton, Washington, Danielle Cormier of Dieppe and Kristine (Ron) Cormier of Memramcook; one sister, Rita (late Jerry) LeBlanc of Tillsonburg, ON, 11 grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Germaine (Landry) Cormier (1987); one son, Michel (1979); five sisters, Thelma, Lorette, Corinne and (Marie and Thelma infants); and two brothers, Laurie and Leo. Resting at Dupuis Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday, March 3 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Friday March 4 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Funeral will be held on Friday, March 4 at 11:00 am at St-Thomas de Memramcook Roman Catholic Church, St-Joseph. Interment in the Parish cemetery. Donations can be made to the Fondation Melissa et ses amis Inc, Memramcook.
