Lars Volstad 1926 - 2005 Lars Volstad, 78, of Dieppe, NB, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, March 2, 2005 with his family at his side. Born in Sandnes, Norway, March 5, 1926, he was the son of the late Thorvald and the late Clara (née: Haaland) Volstad. Lars came to Canada in 1956 and made a career in heavy construction projects including the Blue Cross Center. He believed in the work of many hands and everywhere he went he made lasting friendships. He is survived by his wife, Janine (née: Ayotte); one daughter, Clara (Mark) Butland of Bismarck, ND; two sons, Mark (Lylah) of Burlington, KY and Eric (Alysia) of Hull, QC and six grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family, he was predeceased by one infant sister, Margaretha and also by two brothers, Torger and Tor. Funeral service will be celebrated from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, 857-1901 on Monday, March 7, 2005 at 10 am. Reception to follow.
