Delima Blanchard 1910 - 2005 SHEDIAC, NB - Delima Blanchard, 94, wife of the late Sylvain Blanchard, of Villa Providence, Shediac, and formerly of St. Louis de Kent, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2005 at her residence. Born in Bas Caraquet, NB, she was the daughter of the late Aimé Ferron and Emilie (Gionet) Ferron. Orphaned at the age of five, she worked at a young age at Villa Maria, a convent of la Congrétation de Notre-Dame, Montreal. Later in life she had been a Foster Parent for Kent Social Services. She is survived by three daughters, Germaine, Artémise, and Laurette; two sons, Jean-Guy and Jean-Claude; sons and daughters-in-law; grandchildren; and great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Hélène (Tremblay), the last surviving family member. Delima was predeceased by her husband, Sylvain; and a cherished daughter, Thérèse. Resting at Thompson Funeral Home, St. Louis de Kent with visitation on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm, and Wednesday from 9:00am until time of funeral. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Louis des Français Roman Catholic Church, St. Louis de Kent on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at 11:00am. Interment in the Parish Cemetery at a later date.
