Resting at Slade's Funeral Home, Powell Drive, Carbonear, Mrs. Mavis Earle (nee Forward) of St. John's, who passed away peacefully at Chancellor Park, St. John's on Saturday, August 9, 2008. Mrs. Earle was 87 years of age. She leaves to mourn her loving family: son; Harold (Shirley), grandchildren: Elizabeth Susan (Gary), Stephanie Jane (Joe); great-grandchild: Ryan; brothers: Robert (Phyllis), Harold (Betty); sister: Jane; daughter-in-law: Judy. A large circle of relatives and friends, nieces and nephews. Predeceased family members: husband Art; sisters: Rosalie (Ed), Frances (Maxwell); son: Art; brother: George The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 from St. James Anglican Church with interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Carbonear. Visitation hours at Slade's Funeral Home, Powell Drive, Carbonear are from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon, 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in her memory to the St. James Anglican Cemetery Fund. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Slade's Funeral Home, Carbonear.
