Gregory (Greg) Donald O'Blenis SYDNEY, NS - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Greg O'Blenis announces his passing, which occurred Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, at the age of 58 years. He leaves to mourn with loving memories, his wife and best friend, Barbara; three children, daughter Tracey and spouse, Sean Curry and grandchildren, Emily, Quinn and MacKenzie of Moncton, NB; son, Corey and spouse, Rhea and granddaughter, Kayla of Cold Lake, Alberta; daughter, Sherry and spouse, Jules Roche and grandchildren, Kendra, Tristan and Julian; and his loving mother, Noreen O'Blenis, all of Saint John, NB. He leaves behind a large circle of family and friends, loving mother-in-law, Ada George, Isaac and Rose George and family, Marilyn and Fraser Borden, Jack George and family, all of Corner Brook, NFLD, Elaine and Dave Graham of Sackville, NS and special friends, George and Marjorie Andrews and goddaughter, Breana of Goose Bay, LAB. He was predeceased by his father, Donald O'Blenis and brother, Gary O'Blenis. A memorial service to celebrate Greg's life will take place 2:00 pm Saturday, March 12, 2005 at the Sydney River United Protestant Church with Rev. Dana Feltmate and Mr. Darius B. Powell, LPIMT officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Greg to 4B of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home Ltd., Sydney, Nova Scotia.
