James Arnold Dixon 1934-2005 HOPEWELL HILL, NB - James Arnold Dixon, 70, of Hopewell Hill passed away on March 23, 2005 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital after a lengthy illness. James was born in Point Wolfe on December 12, 1934, the son of the late Clifford and Sarah (Hood) Dixon. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator and woodsman until he retired. He attended the Wesley United Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. Above all things James was a family man who was a very proud father and grandfather. His family meant everything to him. He really enjoyed times travelling with Dorothy to Ontario and Vancouver to see the boys. He especially loved times playing and joking with his grandchildren, they had a very special place in his heart. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Dorothy (Tingley); daughter, Marla Nelson (Barry) of Hopewell Cape; four sons, Kenny (Terri) of Salem, Darren (Mika) of Vancouver Island, Timmy (Jacqueline) of Courtice, Ontario and Brent (Lori) of Courtice, Ontario; his eleven cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Mark, Brittney, Brandon, Dylan, Maya, Carter, Andrew, Nicholas, Macayla and Cody and his great grandaughter, Lauren; four sisters, Lottie Crawford (Cecil) of Riverview, Mona McMurray (Scott) of Grand Lake, Gail Wilson (Greg) of Riverside-Albert, Reta Burke of Moncton; his seven brothers, Thomas (Vivian) of Hopewell Hill, Sonny (Hazel) of Waterside, Herman (Lynn) of Riverside-Albert, Eldon (Paula) of Riverside-Albert, Clifford (Gaye) of Hopewell Hill, Gene (Marie) of Riverside-Albert and Carl (Nancy) of Hopewell Hill. Besides his parents he was predeceased by fatherin-law, Ewart Tingley; brother-in-law, Jack Enman; and three nephews, Glenn, Jeff and Danny. He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with Family visitation on Friday afternoon from 2 to 4pm. The family will be meeting with relatives and friends on Friday evening from 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 26, 2005 at 2pm with Rev. Val Chongva officiating. Interment will be in the Hopewell Cemetery, at a later date. Following the service there will be further fellowship and sharing of memories and refreshments at the funeral home. Donations to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital (Kidney Dialysis Unit) or to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
