Hertha Kopetzky

Hertha Kopetzky 1914 - 2005 The death of Hertha Kopetzky, 90 years, of Lakeview Manor, Riverview and formerly of 136 Cornhill Street, Moncton occurred at her residence on Friday, April 1, 2005. Born in Vienna, Austria, she was the daughter of the late Josef and Josefine Gerwig. She followed her only child Erich and his family to Canada in the early 1970's and was extremely proud when she studied and earned her Canadian Citizenship. She was a Kindergarten teacher for over 30 years in Vienna; she was a classical pianist and had a great love for music. A truly sweet, appreciative lady who loved to say "Many Thanks". She is survived by her son, Erich Kopetzky Sr. (Christa-Marie) of Vienna, Austria; grandson, Erich Kopetzky Jr. (Marie-France) of Irishtown; granddaughter, Patricia-Dominique Henwood (Scott) of Hillsborough. Two precious great granddaughters, Cassandra Kopetzky and Sophia Maria-Theresia Henwood. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother Erdfried; sister Ada and a niece Sieglinde. By request there will not be any visiting hours prior to the memorial mass which will be celebrated at St Augustine's Church on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at 11 am followed by interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army Lakeview Manor would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank the "Angels" at the Salvation Army Lakeview Manor for their amazing care and compassion. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cadman's Funeral Home (857-1110) 114 Alma Street, Moncton.
