Frederick J. MacAulay
Frederick J. MacAulay 1925 - 2005 Frederick (Fred) J. MacAulay, 79, of Moncton passed away peacefully in the presence of his daughter, Joanne and family members by his side, at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, April 4, 2005. Born in Glace Bay, NS, son of the late Peter and Betty (Peto) MacAulay. Fred was a Veteran of The Second World War, served overseas in England with the RCAF, upon returning to Canada he was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the Canadian Army. He retired from Air Canada in 1984 after 35 years service, retiring as reservations and sales office manager. He was past national president of Trans Canada Airlines Passenger Agent Association. Fred enjoyed traveling with his wife and enjoying time in their garden that they created together after retirement. Fred will be sadly missed by his daughter, Joanne, Moncton; sister, Joan Goodwin (Arnold), Dunnville, ON; brother, John (Mildred), Edmonton, AB; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, the late Joan (O'Connor) MacAulay (Feb. 2, 1995); brother, Major Alex MacAulay, Ottawa, ON; sister, Florence McCartney, Athens, Georgia, USA. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Thursday 2 to 4, 7 to 9pm. Moncton Legion #6 Veterans Memorial Service, Thursday 7pm. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, April 8, 2005, 11am. Reception following the service. Interment, Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
