Bertha Bourque SHEDIAC, NB - Bertha Bourque, 94, wife of the late Henri Bourque, of Résidence Beausejour, Shediac and formerly of Chesley Street, Shediac, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Born March 8, 1911 in Sackville, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Philias and Alvina (Cormier) Lirette. She will be sadly missed by her nine children, Irene Coates (Alton) and Ann Gallant (Raymond) both of Scoudouc, Phyllis Petrishen (Sam), Philias (Aldéa), Robert and Bill, all of Moncton, Diane Arkell (Sid) of Powell River, BC, Loretta Morrissey (late Jack) of Quispamsis, Annette Hage (Kim) of Edmonton, AB; five sisters, Louise Baxter of Boston, Doris Girouard of Amherst, Anita LeBlanc (Cecil) and Betty Lirette both of Dartmouth, Evangeline Tanner of Halifax; four brothers, Albert and Elric (Domethilde), both of Boston, MA, Hector of Salem, MA, John of Amherst. She will also be missed by her 28 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Henri in 1980; by a sister, Irene and two brothers, Normand and Dan. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by the request of the family. The funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral, St. George Street, Moncton on Saturday, May 14, 2005 at 11AM. Interment will be in St-Joseph's Cemetery, Shediac. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Bourque's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
