Passed suddenly away on Saturday, February 28, 2009. Alfred Strugnell, aged 77 years. Predeceased by his brother Jim Strugnell; sisters: Lillian Hayward, Maude Miller of British Columbia and Jessie Spurrell. Leaving to mourn his daughter Sharon Vaughan (Douglas); sisters: Mary Furlong and Lucy Strugnell of Toronto; brother Charles Strugnell (Marie); two grandchildren: Kathleen Vaughan and Daniel Vaughan as well as many other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alfred’s memory may be made to All Saints Anglican Church, Pouch Cove or to a charity of one’s choice.
