Gelas (Gill) Arsenault KITCHENER, ON - Gelas (Gill) Arsenault, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 21, 2005 at KW Health Center of Grand River Hospital after a long struggle with prostrate cancer. He was born 77 years ago in New Brunswick. Beloved husband of Levina Arsenault (nee Gaudet) for 54 years. Loving father to Jeanette (Barry) Ruetz, Raymond (Ruth), Brian (Justine), Mike, Blair (Cheryl) and Judy (Steve) Houston all of Kitchener. Pépére to Tracy (Chris), Stacy (Tom), Jeff, Jonathan, Natalie, Calvin and Brandon. Grand-Pépére to Joshua, Hannah, Madison and Makayla. Brother to John (Stephanie), MarieCorinne Bourque, Florine Cormier, Therese Leger (Romeo), Yvone Surette, Juliette Bois (Gillis) all of New Brunswick, Catherine Dessaulle of Montreal and Cecile (Ralph) Brine of Bermuda. Also survived by sister-in-law Dora Arsenault of new Brunswick. Predeceased by his parents, Judith and Walter Arsenault; twin brother, Freeman; brothers, Roy and Claude; sister, Gertie and grandson, Jacob Ruetz. Gill married and moved to Kitchener in 1951. He was the proud owner of Gill's Paving for 40 years. He also worked at Lackie Bros. He was a faithful parishioner at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church for 47 years and was very proud to say that he was a member of A.A. for 22 years. Relatives and friends were invited for visitation to Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel, 51 Benton at Church St., Kitchener, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Prayers were recited on Thursday, May 26, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church (148 Madison Ave., Kitchener). Cremation.
