Gibson W. Hicks 1942 - 2005 Gibson Wilfred Hicks, 63, passed away at the Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home on Saturday, June 11, 2005. Born in Springhill, NS on February 12, 1942, he was the son of the late Leslie and Helen (Gibson) Hicks. Gibson retired from the CNR Moncton as a heavy equipment mechanic following many years of service. He enjoyed stock car racing and restoring vehicles. Gibson is survived by, Betty Melvin of Riverview; his former wife, Emma Hicks of Moncton; daughters, Helen Hicks of Moncton, Brenda LeBlanc (Pat) of Moncton; son, Donald Hicks of Peterborough, ON; grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua, and Shyla; as well as aunts, Clara Collins of Mecan, NS, and Stella Goodwin of Amherst, NS. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visiting hours on Monday, June 13 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday, June 14 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service conducted by Rev. John Holt will be held from the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at 11:00 a.m., immediately followed by a reception in the Garden View Reception Room.
