Wayne Gordon DeWolfe 1950 - 2005 MIRAMICHI, NB - Wayne Gordon DeWolfe, 54, of Morton St., Douglastown/Miramichi, passed away peacefully at the Miramichi Region 7 Hospital on Tuesday, June 14, 2005. Wayne was born on December 21, 1950 in Newcastle, the son of the late Joseph DeWolfe and Ada Bradford. Wayne was a graduate of Harkins High School, 1968. He attended Moncton Tech. He was employed with Corrections Canada for the past 30 years, Dorchester and Renous. Wayne was very active with the 1st Gretna Green Scouts. Wayne was an avid outdoorsman. Wayne was an active member of St. James Presbyterian Church. Wayne was an extremely proud father and most recently a proud "Pappy" to his three granddaughters. Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Karen (Allison); his son, Stephen (Tanya) of Fredericton; his daughter, Donna Cooper (Archie) of Ferry Road; his granddaughters, Jada and Megan DeWolfe of Fredericton and Elizabeth Cooper of Ferry Road; his sisters, Mary MacTavish (Blair) and Corinne McLaughlin (Paul) of Miramichi; his brothers, John Earl (Donna), Bernie (Tabitha), Joe (Maureen), Charles (Connie) and Ronald (Debbie). Wayne is also survived by his mother-in-law, Mrs. Percy Allison (Edna) and guardians, Robert and Eileen Bransfield and by several nieces and nephews. Wayne is resting at Bell's Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi (622-3600) on Thursday, June 16 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Bell's Funeral Home on Friday, June 17, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. In Wayne's memory, donations may be made to the 1st Gretna Green Scouts or the Palliative Care Unit, Miramichi Region 7 Hospital.
