Audrey Frances McInnis MacMillan, 78, of 20 Spring Street, New Glasgow, formerly of Trenton, died Monday March 2, 2009 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late John and Georgina (Long) Dickson.
Audrey was a resident of New Glasgow for the past eight years having previously resided in Trenton, where she was a member of Christ The King Roman Catholic Church. She was an avid crib player and was also a member of the CNIB.
She is survived by sons: Ernie (Betty) McInnis, Trenton; Frank McInnis, Alberta; Mike McInnis, Vancouver; Vic McInnis, Trenton; daughters: Pat McNiven, Vancouver; Mary Jane ”Mara” Brousseau, Vancouver; Paula (Steven) Stewart, Mount William, Pictou County; and Barbie Ellis, New Glasgow; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.
Audrey was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Peter McInnis; a son, John Daniel McInnis; an infant child; a sister Patsy; and a brother, Jack.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow, from where a memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Reception to follow at Branch 28 Royal Canadian Legion, Stellarton. Burial of ashes will take place in Christ The King Cemetery, Trenton, at a later date.
