Ronald L. Carter 1923 - 2005 The death of Ronald Leslie Carter, husband of Eva Carter of Riverview, occurred at the Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital on Tuesday, July 5, 2005. Born January 11, 1923 at The Glades, he was the son of the late Albert William and Clementine (Garland) Carter. Ronald was a carpenter by trade and had attended the Glades Baptist Church. A veteran of the Second World War he served with the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1941-1945 and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Moncton Branch #6 and the Riverview War Veterans Association. In addition to his wife, Eva, he is survived by his daughters, Norma Wilkins (Stewart) of Moncton, Brenda Killen (Peter) of Bermuda; three sons, Jerry (Elaine) of Salisbury, Dale (Marilyn) of Winnipeg and Michael of Moncton as well as seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The last surviving member of his immediate family, he was predeceased by his brothers, Albert, Royce, Harry, Herbert and Willie; one sister, Ada and his daughter, Judy in 1954. Visiting with the family will be Thursday, July 7 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at Cadman Bowness Funeral Home (8571110) 114 Alma Street, Moncton Memorial service will be held on Friday, July 8 at 2 pm in Cadman Bowness Funeral Home followed by a reception in the reception room of the funeral home. Interment will be in The Glades Cemetery. Donations in Mr. Carter's memory may be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Kidney Foundation. www.cadmanbownessfh.com
