Amy Lexoria Smith 1915-2005 HARVEY, NB - Amy Lexoria Smith, 90, of Mary's Point Rd., Harvey, Albert Co., NB passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at the Moncton Hospital after a lengthy illness. Amy was born in Edgett's Landing on April 28, 1915, the daughter of the late Joe and Isabel (O'Regan) Milton. She worked in a nursing home taking care of the elderly in her earlier years and later worked at Fundy National Park until her retirement. She was a member of the Valley Baptist Church. Amy was a real people person and she especially will be remembered for her great smile. She especially treasured the times she spent at the Albert County Exhibition in the Canteen. She enjoyed talking to everyone who came along. Amy was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She will be deeply missed by her sons, Allan Snelgrove (Barb) of Oshawa, Ont., Paul Smith (Janet) of Edgett's Landing, Roland Smith Jr.(Nancy) of Harvey; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; five stepdaughters and one stepson; several great grandchildren and step great grandchildren; also by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Roland Smith; an infant daughter, Shirley; a son, Darryl Snelgrove; two stepdaughters; one sister and five brothers. Honoring Amy's own wishes there will be no visitation. A Committal service will be held at the Green Hill Cemetery, Edgett's Landing on Friday, July 22, 2005 at 2pm. Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends at the home of Amy's son Paul Smith (140 Albert Mines Road) in which to celebrate and share memories of Amy's Life. Interment will be held in the Green Hill Cemetery, Edgett's Landing, NB. Donations to the Red Cross, Green Hill Cemetery or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
