Daisy Belle Phinney
Daisy Phinney SACKVILLE, NB - The death of Daisy Belle Phinney, age 95, of Sackville, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Thursday, August 4, 2005. Born in Centrevillage, NB, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Laura (Estabrooks) Estabrooks. Daisy was an active member of Main Street Baptist Church, taking part in the Ladies Bible Class, the Women's Missionary Fellowship, the 50 Club and served on the Social Committee. She is survived by four sons, Ivan (Reta) Sackville, Marven (Arlene), Oshawa, Raymond (Helen), Sackville and Keith (Edna) Sackville; one daughter, Joyce (Lloyd) Mitton, Sackville; three half-brothers, Frank Maxwell, Moncton, Ronald (Dodie) Maxwell, Moncton, Irvin (Ruth), Sackville; two half-sisters, Eleanor (Cecil) Estabrooks, Albert County and Ella Doherty, Sackville; 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Daisy was predeceased by her husband, Lawson in 1973; and by a half-sister, Dorothy Matheson. The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB, (364-1300) with visiting hours on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 8, 2005 at 2 pm, Pastor Barry Todd officiating. Burial will follow in the Sackville Cemetery.
