Mary Linda (McKay) Dixon

Mary Linda (McKay) Dixon VANCOUVER, BC - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mary Linda (McKay) Dixon in Vancouver on Monday night following a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Moncton on December 23, 1947, she was a daughter of David and Dorothy McKay. Linda attended school in Riverview and graduated from Riverview High School. She later attended the New Brunswick Teachers College in Fredericton and held a teaching position in Sackville for the next three years. In 1970 she and her husband, Lea Dixon, moved to North Vancouver, where they resided for the next 35 years. Survivors include her husband, Lea; her parents, David and Dorothy McKay of Sackville; three sons, Ben, Mike (Carrie) and Andy; two granddaughters; two brothers, David (Denise) McKay of Moncton and Bruce (Cheryl) McKay of Saskatoon; one sister, Heather Richard of Sackville; and several nieces and nephews. First Memorial Funeral Services of Vancouver have handled the cremation and the final service will be held at the Boal Chapel on Monday at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Breast Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
