Allison D. Ayer SACKVILLE, NB - The death of Allison D. Ayer, age 78, of Sackville, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Friday, August 19, 2005. Born in Middle Sackville, he was a son of the late Leander and Annie (Read) Ayer. During early years, prior to his graduation from the Middle Sackville Consolidated School, he worked at Black's General Store. A lifelong farmer his passion was his hay land on the High Marsh Road. His marsh barns were often depicted on postcards and artists sketches of the Tantramar Marshes. Allison will be sadly missed by his three daughters, Betty (Gerald) Maillet, Shediac, Shirley Ann (Richard) Brooks and Cynthia Beal (David Wheaton), both of Sackville; a son, Clifford (Margie), Sackville; six grandchildren; a brother, Herman (Twila), Sackville; and a sister, Ruby (Kenneth) Hicks, Moncton. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, the former Shirley Smith in 1993; brothers, Gerald and Floyd; and sisters, Vivian and Lena. The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville from where private family services will be held. Burial in the Four Corners Cemetery. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
