Winnifred Ellen White MIRAMICHI, NB - The death of Winnifred Ellen White, widow of Edgar White of Miramichi, NB occurred on Sunday, September 11, 2005 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 89. Born in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Archibald and Laura (Creek) Cross. Winnifred owned and operated White's Pharmacy. Winnifred is survived by one son, David (Betty) of Miramichi, NB; one daughter, Lesley Green (Frederick) of Miramichi, NB; two granddaughters, Jennifer White of Halifax, NS, Nancy Lee White of Ottawa, ON; one niece, Anne Schwark of Ottawa, ON; one nephew, Donald Crocker, Nanaimo, BC. Besides her husband and parents, Winnifred is predeceased by one brother, Leslie Cross and one sister, Muriel Crocker. The family will receive visitors at Bell's Funeral Home, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday from St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Miramichi at 2 PM with Rev. Richard Steeves officiating. Burial will take place in the Miramichi Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Extra Mural Program or to the St. Andrew's Anglican Church Guild.
