Ovila "Ovie" Cormier 1917 - 2005 Ovila "Ovie" Cormier, 88, of Villa-duRepos, Moncton and formerly of Heritage St., Moncton, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2005 at the Villa de Repos where he resided. Born July 30, 1917 in St-Antoine, he was the son of the late Alyre Cormier and Hélène Goguen. Prior to his retirement Ovila was a Maintenance Engineer with the J.F.K. Hospital in Lakeworth, Florida. He was also a fourth degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Msg. Alphonse Melanson Counsel # 6464. Ovie loved entertaining with his singing and guitar playing. He is survived by his loving wife, Thérèse (Bourgeois) Cormier; a daughter, Pauline Martin of Gardner, MA; a son, Michael of Nashua, NH; three sisters, Elsie Robichaud, Géraldine Mosher (Jim), Lorraine Perry (Donald); three brothers, Albert (Shirley), Léo (Bertha), Gerry (Joan); three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was predeceased by three brothers, Alphonse, Aurèle and Alfred. Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Monday 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m., on Tuesday 9:30a.m. until time of departure (10:10a.m.). The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at NotreDame-de-la-Paix Roman Catholic Church, Murphy Avenue, Moncton.
