Elizabeth "Pearl" Prosser

Elizabeth "Pearl" Prosser 1910 - 2005 On Monday, September 19, 2005 the Pearly Gates opened to welcome our beloved grannie Elizabeth "Pearl" Prosser home. We're sure she greeted her family and friends with her famous "Never fear Pearl Prosser's here"! Grannie's passion in life was her family. She gave her love unselfishly and cared deeply for each and every one of them. She also had room in her heart to care for a few chosen children outside her home. Early in her life grannie worked in a bake shop and her family reaped the rewards of this as her pies and biscuits were delectable. You were always given a truly warm welcome, a huge hug and a special treat for your tummy no matter how long or short your visit with her, and she most surely appreciated everyone who took time to come and see her. Born in Moncton, NB on September 4, 1910, she was the daughter of the late William and Gerturde Jane (Sears) Mowbray. She was a member of Saint Georges Anglican Church. She is survived by her brother, Leon (Joyce) Mowbray of Moncton, NB; grandchildren, Tom (Janet) Prosser of Riverview, Pam (Bill) Barron of Lunenburg, NS, Debbie (Steve) McIssac of Moncton, Bill (Sue) Prosser of Riverview, Debbie Jean (Paul) Harris, Bill (Bronwen) Parsons, Wendy (Wayne) Clark, Gary (Christine) Parsons, Donna (Wayne) Harris, and Karen (Chris) Hales all of Ontario; nineteen great grandchildren, including Stephanie Prosser of Riverview, who cared for her great grannie unselfishly; three great great grandchildren; daugters-in-law, Ella Parsons of Ontario, and Vera Prosser of Riverview; also by several nieces and nephews; also Jack, a friend who was very special to her. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Hilliard Charles Prosser in 1949; sons, Hilliard Alfred Jr. in 1989, and William Charles "Billy" in 1954; also, by brothers, Patrick, Walter, Alfred, John and Bobby. Visitation will be held at The Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Road on Tuesday, September 20, 2005 from 7:00 to 9:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held at The Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at 3:30 pm with Rev. Chris VanBuskirk officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. In Pearl's memory, donations made to The Albert Co. Action or to your local food bank would be appreciated by her family. At her request, family flowers only. No more will you have to suffer those "cussed spells", we know you loved us and we loved you very much. We'll miss you grannie, but we know you are at peace, and back with your boys. Your job here is done. Rest well. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Riverview Funeral Home, (506) 857-9544. www.tuttlefuneralhome.com
