Philias Melanson MEMRAMCOOK, NB - Philias Melanson of Foyer St-Thomas passed away at his residence on Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at the age of 79. Born in Old Shediac Rd, he was the son of the late Irene Melanson and the late Julienne Cormier. He worked as a carpenter until his retirement and was a member of Golden Age Club of Memramcook. He is survived by his wife, Catherine (Belliveau) Melanson; one son, Paul (Claire) Melanson of St-Joseph; three sisters, Melindee (late Clement) LeBlanc and Ella (late Zephir) Gagnon, both of Moncton, Dorice (late Yvon) Surette of Dieppe; one grandchild, Alexie and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Rheal in 1983; two sisters, Pauline and Sarah and by two brothers, Frank and Aldore. Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 21 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm and on Thursday September 22 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Funeral will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2005 at 11:00 am at St. Thomas de Memramcook Roman Catholic Church, St. Joseph. Interment will be in the Parish cemetery.
