Deliley "Lil" Emmeretta Simpson 1917 - 2005 Lil Simpson, 88, of Moncton, formerly of Curryville, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2005 at the Mount Royal Eldercare Nursing Home. Lil was born in Knightville, Kings County on September 19, 1917, the daughter of the late Thomas Colburne Paynter and Jennie Edith (Simonson) Paynter. She was a Housewife and was a member of the Curryville United Church. She enjoyed playing the organ and was the organist for the Curryville United Church for several years. She loved spending time with her family and friends, she especially cherished times with her grandchildren and her great granddaughter. She was a very special lady and will always be remembered for her great smile and her caring and gentle manner. She will be deeply missed by her son, Wendell Simpson (Linda) of Moncton; her sister, Matilda Paynter of Dr. Snow's Nursing Home, Hampton; her precious grandchildren, Timothy Simpson and Nancy Rossiter (Ian) ; and by her great granddaughter, Meghan. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Simpson in 1987; and by her sisters, Myra Paynter, Annie Seymour, Florence Waddell, Leona Paynter; brothers, Walter Garrett and Thomas Paynter. She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Monday evening from 7 to 9pm. The Funeral Service will be held from the Albert County Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at 2pm with Rev. Paul Taylor officiating. Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends for further sharing of memories and refreshments at the funeral home. Interment will be held in the Curryville Cemetery, Curryville. Donations to the Curryville Cemetery Fund or to the Alzheimers Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
