Elizabeth (nee Scott) Briggs SHERWOOD PARK, AB - After a courageous battle with cancer, Elizabeth left this world peacefully with her family at her side on October 2, 2005. Elizabeth was born in Moncton, New Brunswick and graduated from Armstrong High School in Salisbury. She moved with her family to Edmonton, Alberta in 1975 and was employed by Wainbee Ltd. for 21 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend of 46 years, Robert; her son, James (Yvonne); daughter, Diane Zacharkiw; her special friend, Dudley and estranged daughter, Darlene (Clark) Robertson; her grandchildren, Jason, Michael, Nicholas and Rachel. Elizabeth also leaves to mourn her loss her sister, Mae Chapman of New Brunswick; brothers, Lloyd Scott of British Columbia, David (Susan) Scott of Ontario, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Elizabeth is predeceased by her parents, Walter and Evelyn Scott and her brother, Morris Scott. A special thank you is extended to Robert (Linda) Ambler for their love and support. Elizabeth will be remembered fondly by her many friends. The family wishes to thank Dr. Brisebois and the staff of Station 54 at the Grey Nuns Hospital for their compassionate care. A celebration of Elizabeth's life will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, south of Wye Road on Range Road 232, Sherwood Park. Elizabeth's final resting place will be at Glenwood Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Elizabeth may be made to the Edmonton SPCA or to the charity of one's choice.
