Alphonse McGraw SHEDIAC, NB - Alphonse McGraw, 98, of the Villa Providence and formerly of Saint-Joseph Street, Shediac passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at the Villa Providence. Born in Haute-Aboujagane, June 7, 1907, he was the son of the late Willie McGraw and the late Obéline Léger. Alphonse was a carpenter for Dobson Construction prior to his retirement and was a member of the Shediac Golden Age Club. He is survived by six sons, Ulysse (Rosella) of Cormier Village, Gérard (Louise) and Ronald all of Shediac, Roméo (Lill) of Vancouver, B.C., Donald (Diana) of Moncton; two daughters, Lucia Léger (Fred) of Cormier Village, Thérèse Millberry of Dartmouth, N. S.; 54 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. Alphonse was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his wife Mathilda (Gallant) McGraw (1983); one daughter, Juliette Cormier and by one son, Roger McGraw. The family will receive relatives and friends at Frenette Funeral Home, 396 Main St., Shediac(532-3297) on Friday from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and on Saturday from 10a.m. until time of departure at 10:50a.m. The funeral mass will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2005 at Saint-Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Shediac.
