Harold Frye BEDFORD, NS - Harold Frye, 88, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax. Born in Germany, Harold lived most of his very active life in Montreal where he was deeply involved in the bridge world both as a well respected Bridge Director and silver "Life Master". Upon retirement he lived in Kelona, BC before moving to Bedford He is survived by his beloved wife and bridge partner, Elizabeth (St. Alphonse); children, Joy (Darrell) Trites, Stilesville, NB, Steven (Melanie) Mississauga, ON, Bobby, Ottawa, ON. Known as "Opa" to grandchildren, Jennifer Freeman, Halifax, NS, Daniel O'Connor and Andrew Frye, Mississauga, ON; sister, Inge Elsas and family, New Orleans, LA; sister-in-law, Nancie Middleton and nephew, Stephen, Vancouver, BC. A special thank you to Dr. Bailey and all the staff on 5B and 6B. Visistaion in celebration of Harold's life will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Atlantic Funeral Homes, 6552 Bayers Road, Halifax, NS. A private family memorial celebration will take place at a later date. In Harold's memory, donations may be made to Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation or charity of choice.
