Mabel "Polly" Long 1918-2005 RIVERSIDE-ALBERT- Mabel "Polly" Long, 86, of Riverside-Albert passed away on October 18, 2005 at the Moncton Hospital. Mabel was born in French Village, Kings County on December 22, 1918 the daughter of the late Frank and Mabel (Langstroth) Scullion. She was an assistant Post Master in Albert for many years. She was a member of the St. Alban's Anglican Church, she was a member of the OES- Winston Churchill Chapter #19, and also belonged to the Lioness. Mabel was a very special lady and will be missed by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Ella Wright of Shepody; son, George Long of Ottawa; grandsons, Roger Tingley (Kelly) of NS and Kevin Tingley of Nunavit; great granddaughters, Savannah, Ocean and Breeze; sisters, Emma McKay of Penfield and Ella White of Torryburn. She will also be deeply missed by her special friends, Sue Daley and Steve Marshall and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Charles Long; brothers, Ronald Scullion, Clifford Scullion, twin brother George Scullion; sisters, Ruth Ladner, Dorothy Dallon, Mary Smith and Margaret Beyea. She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Wednesday evening from 6 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 20, 2005 at 11 am with Rev. Rob Salloum officiating. Interment will be held in the Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell Hill, NB. Following the service the family will be meeting for further fellowship and refreshments at the Recreation Center in Riverside-Albert.
