Joachim Richard 1911 - 2005 RICHIBUCTO, NB - Joachim Richard, 94, husband of the late Anastasie (Vautour) Richard, of Richibucto, NB passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Monday, October 25, 2005. Born in Aldouane, NB he was the son of the late Maxime Richard and the late Josephine (Gallant) Richard. He was retired, Joachim had been the owner of J.M. Richard Grocery for 45 years. He attended St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Richibucto Golden Age Club. Joachim was an avid fisherman, card player and gardener. Joachim is survived by four daughters, Anne Leger (Léo-Paul) of Moncton, Louise Richard-Martin of Richibucto, Jacqueline Fugére (Michel) of Sherbrooke, QC, Gilberte LaFrance (Gary) of Mundleville; one son, Gerard (Coco) Richard (Debbie) of Richibucto; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; special home care giver, Aline Blanchard. The last surviving member of his immediate family, he was predeceased by his wife, Anastasie; two sons, Omer, Joachim Jr.; four sisters, Laura, Cécile, Marie-Anne, Geraldine; four brothers, Martin, Joseph, Martin and Rhéal. Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 5:00 until time of funeral. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto on Thursday, October 27, 2005 at 6:00 P.M. Interment will take place in Aldouane Roman Catholic Cemetery.
