Amanda Girouard 1915 - 2005 Amanda Girouard, 90, wife of the late Emile Girouard (1987) of Elmwood Dr., Moncton and formerly of Sainte-Marie de Kent, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2005 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital following a brief illness. Born September 22, 1915 in Saint-Paul de Kent, NB, she was the daughter of the late Amédée Richard and Sara Léger. She was a housewife and attended Notre-Dame de la Paix Roman Catholic Church, Moncton. She was a former member of the Sainte-Marie de Kent and Moncton Golden Age Clubs. She is survived by two daughters, Simone Cormier (Roger) and Rose-Mai Roy (Richard) both of Moncton; two sons, Iroy (Georgine) of Moncton, Léo (Anne) of Sainte-Marie de Kent; three sisters, Ida Bastarache of Sainte- Marie de Kent, Hermine LeBlanc of Connecticut and Dora Bastarache of Moncton; nine grandchildren, Kevin, Janelle, Mireille, Joline, Martin, Caroline, Mathieu, Réjean and Julien; several nephews and nieces. Predeceased by three sisters, Eugénie, Yvonne and Laurette; and three brothers, Ovila, Tilmon and Lionel. Resting at Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Marie de Kent with visitation on Monday, October 31, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45pm. Funeral Service at Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Sainte-Marie de Kent on Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at 7:00pm. Interment in the Parish Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.
