Charles Reid McNeill
Charles Reid McNeill TRURO, NS - Charles Reid McNeill, Truro, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2005 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born March 28, 1921 in Loganville, Pictou County, he was a son of the late William L. and Lena Rae (Reid) McNeill. He served with the Canadian Forces during the Second World War. He was employed for forty-two years in the soft drink industry in various locations throughout the Maritimes, retiring in 1986 as Vice President of Maritime Beverages Ltd. He was a member of St. David's United Church, Bible Hill. He is survived by his wife, the former Helen Boyce; daughter, Donna (Harvey) Maillet, Riverview, NB; son, William "Bill" (Karen), Dartmouth; grandchildren, Brian Maillet, Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, Eric Maillet, Riverview, NB, Stephanie and Ryan McNeill, Dartmouth; cousins, Joan (Mrs. Bud Rockwell), Truro; Ruth (Mrs. Joe D'Angelo), Don Mills, ON. He was predeceased by a sister and twin brothers in infancy and also a grandson, Robert Maillet in infancy. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. A private graveside serivce will be held in Bible Hill Cemtery with Rev. Ebbie W. Snow officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. David's United Church, 18 St. David's Avenue, Bible Hill, NS B2N 4L7.
