Mrs. M. Hilda McDermaid 1918-2005 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mrs. Mary Hilda McDermaid, widow of the late James Rexford (Rex) McDermaid, of King St., and formerly Chatham Ave., Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, November 15, 2005, at the age of 87. Born in Chatham, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Belsamae (Martin) Voutour. She was a homemaker and attended St. Michaels Basilica, Miramichi. She is survived by one daughter, Sharon McPherson (Blair), of New Waterford, N.S.; five sons, William McDermaid (Delores), of Miramichi, Rex McDermaid Jr. (Simonne), of Ottawa, Ont., Richard McDermaid (Evelyn), of Ridgeway, Ont., Robert McDermaid (Susan), of Timmons, Ont., Charlie McDermaid (Judy), of Oakville, Ont.; one sister, Vi Breau, of Miramichi; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Rex, in 2004; three sisters, Rose Clark, Martha King and Mary Voutour; four brothers, Anthony, Frank, Ernest and James Voutour. Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Friday evening only, from 7 to 9 pm. Vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening, at 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Michaels Basilica, on Saturday, November 19, 2005, at 10 am, conducted by Father John Fraser. Interment will be in St. Michaels Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Palliative Care Unit of the Miramichi Regional Hospital or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
