Bertha Edna Tingley AMHERST, NS - The death of Bertha Edna Tingley, age 105, of Centennial Villa, Amherst, formerly of 137 York St, Sackville occurred at the Cumberland Regional Health Center, Amherst, NS. Bertha was the daughter of Walter Edmund Tingley and Daisy Smith. She was born in the Sackville area. She is survived by her niece, Mona Johnson, Sackville; her sister, Vye Wilkie, Barrie, ON; Hilda Rogers, Buffalo; her brothers, Lawrence, Barrie ON and Austin, Peoria, Arizona and many loving close relatives. Bertha had a long career in the world of books, having managed book departments for several large New Brunswick department stores in Moncton and Saint John. As well, she had enjoyed working in Montreal and Halifax and before her retirement was the owner of Bell, Book and Novelty in Summerside, PEI. Bertha enjoyed travel, roses, her family and her books.
