Raymond Eugene Wetmore

Raymond Eugene Wetmore 1904 - 2005 The death of Raymond Eugene Wetmore, 101 years, husband of the late Katherine Wetmore, occurred at Royal Court, Riverview on Sunday, December 4th, 2005. Born in New Haven, Connecticut on August 4, 1904, he was the son of the late Jesse E. and Antoinette (Moses) Wetmore. Raymond attended the Yarmouth Academy and graduated from Acadia University in 1926; he received his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Nova Scotia Technical College in 1928; he was retired as a Lubrication Engineer from Texaco Canada Inc. He was a life member of the Association of Professional Engineers of NB, a 60 year member of Hiram Lodge #12 AF&AM of Yarmouth; a past member of the Moncton Golf and Country Club; a Past Member of the Moncton Curlers Association; he was a member of Wesley Memorial United Church, Moncton. The last surviving member of his immediate family, Raymond is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Katherine (Dayson) Wetmore in 1980 and his parents. In keeping with Mr. Wetmore's requests there will not be any visiting or funeral service in Moncton. A Masonic Service conducted by officers and members of Hiram Lodge #12 AF&AM, followed by a funeral service will be conducted at Sweeney's Funeral Home in Yarmouth, NS on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at 2 pm. Interment will be in Mountain Cemetery in Yarmouth, NS.
