J. Marcel Deveau 1952-2005 SHEDIAC, NB - J. Marcel Deveau, 53, of Ouellet St., Shediac passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, December 4, 2005, after a couragous battle with cancer. Born in Chéticamp, N.S., December 4, 1952, he was the son of the late Willie Deveau (1979) and the late Caroline Schomphe (2005). Marcel was a Corporal with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and served in the Northwest Territories, New Brunswick and in Ottawa prior to his retirement. He was a volunteer at the Villa Providence in Shediac and with the Canadian Cancer Society. He will be sadly missed by his loving family, his devoted wife, Nicole (Roy) Deveau and their children, Louise and Justin, both at home; his sister, Simone Dixon (Gary) of Chéticamp, NS; two brothers, Jean-Louis of Moncton and Gilles of Mississauga, ON; his parents-in-law, Charles and Hélène Roy of Shediac; two sisters-in-law, Liane Roy of Shediac and Tanya Roy of Fredericton; a brother-in-law, Gilles Roy (Danie) of Moncton; two nieces and three nephews. The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, December 6 from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297). The funeral mass will be held at 11a.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at Saint-Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Shediac. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday prior to the funeral mass.
