Pearl A. Graves PETITCODIAC, NB - It is with deep sorrow that the family announce the passing of Pearl A. Graves, 95, of Fawcett's Rest Home, Petitcodiac and formerly Killam's Mills at the Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, December 6, 2005. Born in Killam's Mills, August 31, 1910 she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Elsie (Branscombe) Killam. With her outstanding zest for life she overcame many tribulations. A devoted mother and grandmother she enjoyed her many friends of the day and loved to set out her china and serve a dinner for whoever dropped by. Her door was always open. She was a member of the Havelock Wesleyan Church. She will be sadly missed by a daughter, Christena Black of Killam's Mills; a son, Walter A. Graves (Helen) of Penobsquis; seven grandchildren, Sheldon Black (Mary), Constance Ryder (Reginald), Marlene Black (Daryl Slocum), George Black (Tammie), Shelley Fraser, Heather Bastarache (Kenneth) and Allan Graves and several great grandchildren. Survived also by sisters, Violet Steeves, Ethel Bishop (Ken); a brother, Alfred Killam (Cora) and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister, Hazel Stultz ; brothers, Roy, Wilfred and Eldon Killam; grandchildren, Orval and Q. Dana Black and Sherry Graves and a son-in- law, George Black. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 9 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Stewart Steeves, Pastor Nick Graham and Pastor Douglas Tatton officiating. Interment will be at the Steeves Settlement Cemetery.
