Mrs. Elizabeth (Betty) M. Gulliver 1913-2005 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mrs. Elizabeth (Betty) McWhirter Gulliver, widow of the late Hubert Gulliver, of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, and formerly of Bay du Vin, passed away at her residence, on Friday, December 9, 2005, at the age of 92. Born in Wigtownshire, Parish of Stoneykirk, Scotland, on May 20, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Christina (Carswell) Harper. She was a homemaker; an active member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin; a former church organist; a member of the A.C.W.; a member of the Bay du Vin Womens Institute. She is survived by four daughters, Joan Weaver (James), of Doaktown, Rhona Williston (Hebert), of Moncton, Sheila Gulliver, of Calgary, Alberta, Carol McKinnon (Robert), of Port Dover, Ont.; one son, Robert Gulliver, of Bathurst; one daughter-in-law, Sandra Gulliver, of Bay du Vin; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Hubert; one son, Thomas Gulliver; one sister, Helen Biggs; three brothers, James, Charles and Thomas Harper. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Visiting will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St.,on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, on Monday, December 12, 2005, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Don Hamilton. Interment will be in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, or any charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated by the family.
