Margaret Jean Smith nee Curtis SCARBOROUGH, ON - It is with much sadness the family of Margaret Jean Smith announces her passing at Rouge Valley Medical Centre, Scarborough, ON on Sunday, December 11, 2005 after a brief illness. Born in Newcastle, NB in 1943, she was the daughter of Marion Gertrude Sobey and the late Edward Perley Curtis. She is survived by one daughter, Kimberley Rohrbach (Ray Strickland) of Pickering; one son, Kevin Troy of Scarborough. Also survived by grandchildren, Ryan Rohrbach and Cheyenne Strickland; her mother, Marion Curtis; sisters, Verna Cronkhite of London, ON, Shirley MacLean (Alton) of Scarborough, ON, Betty Fitzgerald (Frank) of Mt Carmel, NL; brothers, Edward Curtis of Riverview, NB, Arlen Curtis (Linda) of Ailsa Craig, ON. She was predeceased by her husband, Sheldon Walter Smith in 1986; also sisters, Winona and Sherrille; brothers, Wesley and Jim. A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, Lawrence Avenue, Scarborough, ON. Interment will be beside her late husband in Pine Hills Cemetery in the Spring.
