Arthur Pooley PORT ELGIN - The death of Arthur Pooley, age 86, of Port Elgin and formerly of Sackville, occurred at the Westford Nursing Home, Port Elgin on Saturday, December 24, 2005. Born in Tryon, PEI, he was a son of the late Charles and Dora (Thompson) Pooley. Arthur worked with FH Copp in Port Elgin and then with NB Power from where he retired in 1978 with 29 years of service Arthur will be sadly missed by his son, Allan (Kathy) Pooley, Sackville; two grandchildren, Evan and Bethany; and by a special friend, Mabel Goodwin, Port Elgin. He was predeceased by his wife, Marion (Siliker); and by sisters, Alice, Lydie and Adelaide. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 3 W Main St., Port Elgin (364-1300) with visitation on Tuesday, December 27, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at 2 pm. Burial in the Fernwood Cemetery, Port Elgin, in the spring. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
