Mrs. Bertha H. Godfrey 1920-2005 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mrs. Bertha Helen Godfrey, widow of the late Robert H. Godfrey, of Water Street, Miramichi and formerly of McIntosh Street, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Thursday, December 28, 2005, at the age of 85. Born in Chatham, she was the daughter of the late John S. and Anne (Carroll) MacLean. She was a homemaker and a former employee of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home as well as a nursing support worker. She was a member of St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi; a member of the Rebecca Lodge; a life member of the Maude Jardine Unit of the U.C.W. She is survived by one daughter, Lynn Park (Brian), of Ajax, Ont.; two sons, Steven Godfrey (Diane), of Miramichi and Carl Robichaud (Rena), of Hilltop Road; seven grandchildren, Kyle, Hillary, Nicholas, Victoria, Steven, Robert and Sharon; five great grandchildren, Chelsey, Alicia, Erin, Melissa and Amy. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert; one grandson, David Robichaud; one brother, Jack MacLean. Visiting will be from Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, on Saturday only, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Sunday, January 1, 2006, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Palliative Care Unit of the Miramichi Regional Hospital, the Canadian Cancer Society, or any charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
