Wendell Alexander Harper 1929 - 2006 The death of Wendell Alexander Harper of Moncton, NB and formerly of Jacksonville, NB occurred at the Carleton Memorial Hospital on Sunday January 8, 2006 at the age of 76. Born in Jacksonville, NB, he was the son of the late Frank and Ella (Vanwart) Harper. Wendell is survived by children, Susan Porter (Larry) Canterbury, NB, Linda Carlson (Jim) Rothesay, NB, Allison (Florence) Jacksonville, NB, Shirley Hovey (Doug), Hartland, NB, Randy (Angela) Moncton, NB, Gary (Paula) Rothesay, NB; sixteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Grace Barrett, Oshawa, Ont, Ruby Parent, Ottawa, Ont; brothers-in-law, Perley Williamson, Woodstock, NB, Jack Hillman, Conn. and several nieces and nephews. Wendell was predeceased by one son, Robert; sisters, Glena, Zelda, Nita and stepmother, Carrie (Niddrie) Harper. As requested, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 11 from The Carleton Funeral Home Chapel, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville at 11 AM with Rev. Garth MacKay officiating. Interment will be held in the Green Wood Cemetery Hartland, NB at a later date. For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to a memorial of the donor's choice.
