James A. Alston SAINT JOHN WEST, NB - The death of James A. Alston of Carleton-Kirk Lodge, Saint John West, husband of Muriel I. (Downey) Alston, occurred on Friday, January 20, 2006 at his residence. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late George and Lucy (Dibblee) Alston. Mr. Alston was employed with the CPR and the Water Department of the City of Saint John for many years, before his retirement. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Barbara Prosser of Moncton; one sister, Marjorie Crawford of Saint John; sister-in-law, Thelma Alston of Saint John; three grandchildren, James Prosser (Kim) of New Hampshire, Kathy Prosser and Shawn Prosser (Linda) both of Moncton; two great grandchildren, Janelle and Kyle of New Hampshire; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Harold and George; and sisters, Mary Blizzard and Kathleen Alston.
