Joan C. Acorn 1945-2006 MIRAMICHI, NB - Joan Catherine Acorn, of the MacDonald Road, Glenwood, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Monday, February 6, 2006, at the age of 60. Born in Glenwood, she was the daughter of the late Archibald and Ida (MacDonald) MacDonald. She was a caregiver and an adherent of St. Stephens United Church, Black River Bridge. She is survived by three sisters, Eileen MacDonald (Emerson), Vera Watling (Donald), all of Black River Bridge and Ada Taylor, of Nackawic; three brothers, Vince MacDonald (Emma), Stanley MacDonald, all of Glenwood and Blaine MacDonald (Glenda), of Napan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Byron, Marven and Norman MacDonald. Visiting will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, on Tuesday only, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Wednesday, February 8, 2006, at 1 pm, conducted by Rev. David Cleveland. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
