George E. Hurrie SALISBURY, NB - George Edward Hurrie, of Salisbury passed away Saturday, February 11, 2006 at Camden Park Terrace, Moncton. Born in Amherst, NS, he was a son of the late George and Annie (Sheppard) Hurrie. During the Second World War George trained in Montana with a joint U.S. and Canadian Special Force known as the Devil's Brigade with active duty in Continental Europe. George was a salesman retiring from CRC RV Center. Survived by his children, Karen Erickson of Montana and Michael (Gail) of Florida; and by seven grandchildren. Survived also by Wendy Taylor (Terry), Ricci Archibald (Sandra) and Connie Keating (Rick) of Salisbury, who were part of his life for over 40 years; and a good friend, Jessie Suttie. Predeceased by his long time companion, Dot Archibald; sister, Annie; brothers, Clifford and Harry; and a grandson, Joseph Erickson. The Funeral will be held from the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Mark Smith officiating. No visiting by request.
