Myrtle Pauline (Lacey) Holder FREDERICTON, NB - The death of Myrtle Pauline (Lacey) Holder, wife of the late J. D. Hazen Holder, occurred Monday, March 6, 2006, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Born in Fredericton on August 3, 1911, she was the daughter of the late George S. and Maude (MacLean) Lacey. She moved to Fredericton from Riverview in 2003 to be with family. She resided with her son, Douglas, in Harvey for a few months, and then lived with her grandson, Jeffrey and his family, until she had taken ill. She was a member of Gunningsville United Baptist Church and a Dominion Life Member of the United Baptist Missionary Society. She was also a life member of the New Brunswick Women's Institute. She is survived by one son, R. Douglas (Lorraine) Holder of Harvey; three grandsons, Paul (Laurene) of Quispamsis, Stephen (June) and Jeffrey (Sherry) of Fredericton; five great-grandsons, Jared, Alex, Kyle, Noah and Samuel, and one great-granddaughter, Kaleigh. She is also survived by a sister, Muriel V. Holder of Gagetown, and a brother, Wendell Lacey of Oromocto as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago St., Oromocto on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, March 9, 2006 at 2:00 pm. Pastor Jim McLellan officiating. Interment will follow in the Upper Hampstead Cemetery.
