Catherine Savage died early Thursday morning, March 5, 2009 at home with her loving husband, Vincent by her side.
Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm E and Janet (Humphrey) Rose and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was a kind and gentle person, an avid bowler, with many awards and loved nature, was an honest hard working employee of Zellers for 33 years, having worked all positions there and was an adherent of Calvin United Church, New Waterford.
Catherine is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Vincent and also aunts, Millie Humphrey, Sydney and Lucy Gorman, Victoria Mines, Eileen Humphrey, Halifax, Alice Humphrey, Newfoundland and Winne Rose, Alberta.
Besides her parents, Catherine was also predeceased by her brother, Ruben; uncles, Bobby Thomas and Jimmy Humphrey, Wesley Rose and aunt, Lillian Antle.
Cremation has taken place, by her request. A chapel service to celebrate Catherine’s life will take place on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 2 p.m. at McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 862-7500 with Rev. Duncan Roach officiating.
