Gwendell (Mac) Lorne MacAulay 1922 - 2006 Gwendell (Mac) MacAulay, 83, resident of the Jordan Lifecare Centre and formerly of Lewis Mountain, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, March 7, 2006. Born in O'Leary, P.E.I. on June 13, 1922, he was the son of the late Leslie and the late Edna MacAulay. He was a veteran of World War II and later enlisted in the R.C.A.F. where he served in the fire department until his retirement in 1972. Mac was also a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 31 in Salisbury. Mac is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Dauph of 59 years of Lewis Mountain, N.B.; three daughters, Thelma Pearson of Dieppe, Catherine Jaillet (Roger) of Dieppe, Heather Harris (Brian) of Lewis Mountain; and one son, Leslie MacAulay (Josette) of Dieppe; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two sisters, Rita Sinkinson (Steve) of Ottawa, Ontario and Thelma Jones of Dorval, Quebec. Besides his parents, his son-in-law, Robert Pearson predeceased him. An extra special thank you to Dr. Peter Stoddard who has been his family doctor for many years; the staff of 3600, Palliative Care, for the outstanding service they gave while he was under their care, and all the staff of the Jordan Lifecare Centre where he resided the last five months. As per request to the family there will only be a private family service. Donations can be made if wished to The Friends of the Moncton Hospital.
