Albert E. Reid 1932 - 2006 Albert Edward Reid, 74, of Colpitts Settlement, passed away at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer, Sunday, March 12, 2006. He was a former Trackman with the CN. Albert was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing, however his greatest love was his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Marion (Patriquin) Reid; two daughters, Marilyn Gaythorpe of Vernon, BC and Debbie Lutes (John) of Colpitts Settlement; daughter-in-law, Sharron Reid of Colpitts Settlement; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Reid of Tatamagouche, NS and Russell Reid (Helen) of Salisbury; one sister, Margaret MacFarlane of New Glasgow, NS; and by nieces and nephews and an uncle, Harry Patriquin of Moncton. Besides his parents, Alfred and Mabel (Sarty) Reid, he was predeceased by his son, Sandy Reid and by five brothers. Visitation is at the Riverview Funeral Home, Pine Glen Rd. Riverview on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Stephane Beaulieu officiating. Interment will be in Wilmot Memorial Cemetery, Lower Coverdale, NB. Donations in Albert's memory made to Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by his family.
