Bertha Bernice MacTavish 1912 - 2006 PINE GLEN, NB - The death of Bertha Bernice MacTavish of Pine Glen, N.B., occurred at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, March 14, 2006. Born July 17, 1912 in Moncton, Bertha was the daughter of the late James and Eliza (Colpitts) Rattray. Bertha was predeceased by her husband Ian D. MacTavish; one son, Ian Dale (Shirley). She was also predeceased by a sister, Jessie Erb; four brothers, Leonard, Lloyd, Ernest and Douglas Rattray. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Tripp (David) of Pine Glen, and Shirley Clarke of Moncton; one son, Ken MacTavish of Riverview. Also surviving is one daughter-in-law, Shirley MacTavish (Dale) and eight grandchildren, Lois Wheaton, Jeff Tripp, Janice Harris, Randy Clarke, Kim Hamilton, Kenny MacTavish, Brent MacTavish and Ruth MacTavish as well as great grandchildren. There will be no visitation prior to the funeral service to be held from the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, March 16th, 2006 at 11:00 am. A reception for Bertha's family and friends will follow the service in the Garden View Reception Room of the funeral home. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or to a memorial of the donor's choice.
