July 16th 1956 - August 12th 2008, Corner Brook, N.L. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ross D. Hampton announce his sudden passing at the W.M.R. Hospital in Corner Brook, on Tuesday, August 12th, 2008 in his 52nd year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Jaunita (nee Rice), his son Christopher (Susie) of Ottawa, his daughters Melissa of St. John's and Nicole of Corner Brook; his 2 precious grandaughters Kaylie and Avery; his parents Reg and Marina of Corner Brook; his brothers Terry (Debbie) and Peter (Debbie) both of Lloydminster, Sask. and David (Jackie) of Corner Brook; his in-laws Wilfred and Nellie Rice of Mt. Albert, Ont., his brothers-in-law Willis (Linda),Terry, Ford, and Dean all of Ontario; his sisters-in-law Cordella (Kevin) of St. John's and Michelle; 18 nieces and nephews; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Ross was predeceased by his grandparents George and Alfreda Hampton and Gladys and Joseph Abbott. The family will be receiving family and friends from Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road, Corner Brook at the hours of 7-9 pm today, Thursday, August 14th, 2008 and on Friday, August 15th, 2008 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Saturday August 16th 2008 at 1 pm from the First United Church Park Street, Corner Brook, with Marilyn Avery officiating with the Burial to follow at the United Church section of Mt. Patricia Cemetery, Corner Brook. Flowers and or contrubitions may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Fund in Ross' Memory.
